We are looking forward to a fun and short week ahead, including Valentine's Day celebrations! We will be celebrating Valentine's Day tomorrow, February 14th for the Monday/Wednesday class and then again on Tuesday February 15th for the Tuesday/Thursday class. Be sure to have your child bring in their Valentines for the exchange on those days :) Please also be reminded that there is no school on Thursday and Friday due to Teachers Convention, and no school on Family Day on the following Monday!
As an upcoming reminder, the 100th day of school is fast approaching. We will be celebrating the 100th day of school on Wednesday March 2nd and Thursday March 3rd for the two classes. We always have so much fun celebrating all the wonderful things we have done in Kindergarten so far, and the kids are excited to have a whole day dedicated to the 100th day!
This year we are asking students to create a fun T-Shirt showcasing 100 things that they can wear on that day. We wanted to give you as much notice as possible to begin to create and design these fabulous shirts! The kids will be wearing their shirt on 100 day and have the opportunity to show it off to their classmates! There are lots of photos and ideas online if you google '100 day shirt'. Some ideas include gluing items to the shirt, using fabric markers or paint to draw 100 things, or using stickers but the choice is yours! As long as there are a collection of 100 things, you can get creative:) Here are some photos of some examples:
